Steel Bars
We offer a full range of steel bars in a broad range of material grades and sizes. Steel bars are one of our stock held items and can be delivered throughout Scotland, the UK, and Overseas to meet your specific requirements.
Bright Bars: Available in sizes from 10 - 100 mm
Drawn bars are created to reduce the diameter but increase the length of a specific material. This process is particularly popular with round bars but we are also able to provide drawn bars for square, hexagonal and flat bars.

Rolled Bars (Black Bars): Available in sizes from 70 - 320 mm*
Rolled Bars are formed using a metal forming process in which metal stock is passed through a pair of rolls to create a long circular shaft. Our rolled bar stock is available in different thicknesses.

Forged Bars: Available in sizes up to 1 m*
Forged Bars are formed by heating and hammering a metal stock into shape at high temperatures. Forged products tend to be stronger than rolled products due to the solid forged center that is provided via the forging process.

GFM Forged Bars
GFM Forged bars are produced by a combination of the techniques of rolling and forging. While the bars are being forged they are continuously rotated to create an even surface across the bar. This has the benefits of having the precision engineering required from a rolled bar and the strength provided in a forged bar.
Forged Stepped Shafts
Forged stepped shafts are forged bars with a step in diameter provided at specific points.
Forged Flat Bars
Forged Flat Bars are forged bars with a flat surface. The bars can be produced as rectangular or square in shape, depending on your specifications.
Forged Square Bars
Forged Square Bars are forged bars produced in an equal angle square shape.
